Bristol Branch Ensemble Section Bristol Branch Ensemble SectionThe Blockflute Band, provides an opportunity for members to perform in concerts and to give wider public exposure of the recorder and to raise funds for charity.
Our last concert was on Friday 22nd November 2024 at St. Thomas a Becket Church in Pucklechurch to celebrate 25 years of the Band. We played some pieces which we had played in our very first concert and others related to St Cecilia Day and two pieces by local composers, Ann Marshall and Elizabeth King. We were joined by a folk band, Dance Bazaar. The full programme can be found here. We were able make a donation to church funds and The Farming Comunity Network totalling £370.
