The Blockflute Band

The Blockflute Band, provides an opportunity for members to perform in concerts and to give wider public exposure of the recorder and to raise funds for charity.

We are planning another concert on Friday 22nd November 2024 at 7.30pm to celebrate 25 years of the Band. A venue and a have yet to be decided. Weekly rehearsals will start on Thursday 10th October in our usual venue (Room 1 of Westbury Park Methodist Church Hall, 4 North View, BS6 7QB) at 7.30-9.30pm. The final rehearsal will be on 21st November in the concert venue. Members should attend the final rehearsal and at least five of the other six rehearsals.

Programme will include some items from our very first concert in 1999 and music appropriate for St. Cecilia's Day.
