NOTE CHANGE OF VENUE

Introduction

We meet on the third Saturday of each month (except August). As from 15th March meetings will be held in the Jennings Suite at Patchway Community Centre, Rodway Road, Patchway, Bristol BS34 5PF. The room is upstairs and there is a lift. The Suite has its own kitchen and toilets.

There are 16 allocated parking spaces outside the Centre, plus plenty of parking just up the road (avoiding the timed bays). Bus number 12 stops nearby, and the 75 stops on Coniston Road. Lifts can be arranged from Bristol Parkway or Patchway train station.

Meetings run from 2:00 - 5:00pm with a break for tea. Visitors are always welcome. Music is provided, but please bring a music stand.

Rachel Mason is running a group for less experience players called Stoke Gifford Recorder Players which meets regularly on Monday mornings in term-time in St Michael's Church Centre, Stoke Gifford (adjacent to Bristol Parkway Station). The group plays solo, consort and ensemble music as well as preparing music for SRP meetings and occasional performances in the local community. Currently the group is at maximum capacity but if you would like more information or to be put on the waiting list please contact Rachel at rachel.mason@gmx.com.

The Branch also runs an Ensemble Section under the name of the Blockflute Band which prepares works for public performance. Click here for more information.
